FAQs

Am I eligible to participate if I’m currently taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)/Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT)?

Yes! As long as you have not recently started or completed, or made significant changes to your HRT/MHT then it is likely you are able to participate in the study. Call the study team on 1300 413 379 and they will talk you through your eligibility and answer any questions you may have. We would love to hear from you.

Can I still drive while participating in the study?

No. Currently it is illegal to drive with any Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in your system, even if not impaired. THC, which can cause psychoactive effects when consumed is present in all products in the study formulary (including our full spectrum CBD oil). While the amount may be very low, and you may not feel any effects, THC can remain present in the body for many days or weeks. This applies to all States and Territories.

I’ve previously used cannabis products for my menopause symptoms but did not find it helpful. How can this study help me?

In this study, doctors at Natura Clinic will individualise cannabis medications and their dosing for you based on your symptoms, your circumstances, and your preferences. The study formulary includes oils, flower, and vapes for inhalation, with a variety of strengths and formulations. The study doctors are very experienced in providing clinical care and will work with you to manage your symptoms in a way that suits you, and will guide you throughout the process. You can discuss treatment options during the telehealth consultations which are a part of the study, and you can speak to the friendly study team on weekdays at any time. I have recently consumed cannabis - can I still participate?

Yes! Even if you currently use or have used cannabis in the past two months, you may still be eligible to participate following an eight week wash out period. That means, you need to be cannabis free for 8 weeks before beginning the study. Call now, and we can place you on the study waitlist so that in eight weeks you can begin without delay. There are a number of women currently completing washout periods to participate in the study.

I have never tried cannabis - can I still participate?
